…going on around here…

Or maybe just at the Shedd Aquarium free admission days! For only a few times a year they allow free admission to their upper aquatic galleries. Unfortunately it doesn’t include the dolphins, sharks, and other cool stuff but free is free, yeah? What you do see is a whole lot of fishes, tons and tons and even snapping turtles too! If you’re in or around Chicago be sure to check what is going on in the city, tons of free museum days and tons of things to see!

Joy Yee’s Plus

Posted in File Cabinet by Andrew de Vera on 28 October, 2009

So here in the Chicagoland area we are blessed to have in our backyard the famous Joy Yee’s franchise (literally). They have so many shops spread out all over, you’ll always be by one.. Anyways, they decided to open a new type of shop focusing on Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine, sorta. Featuring tons of noodle bowls and sushi this place might be to your liking.

A few posts ago I talked about experiencing a big big big bowl of Pho from there. And it holds true, they also serve shaved us in a pleasant portion as well as frozen yogurt goodness. But in the end of your trip you will find out they are trying to hard. The whole place is aiming for that hip, young, youth vibe. It’s a nice change especially for Joy Yee’s and their glorious Bubble Tea. If you want to stop by they are located just down the other end of Chinatown in Chicago, walking distant in the plaza from their regular restaurant location. Come by and check out their koi fish man made river type deal. Cheers!
